NANO MATERIALS AND SYSTEM LABORATORY 11 ENERGY CONVERSION FUEL CELLS Fuel cells are clean, reliable, portable, and efficient high energy density device that converts the chemical energy of a fuel directly into electricity by electrochemical reactions. A fuel cell is composed of an anode, cathode, and an electrolyte membrane.
